Established in 1664, constables are the oldest law enforcement.  A Pennsylvania State Constable is elected or appointed at the local level but has state-wide jurisdiction.  A Pennsylvania State Constable is a Peace Officer, as such, their primary role is to protect and maintain the peace.

A Bit About Constable Serefine

Constable Serefine was appointed to fill a vacant position in Bellefonte, PA in 2022, but he has served his country and his community for many years.  He is a Navy veteran, author, and postal carrier in addition to his constable role.
